    We recently upgraded from version 1.6.8 to Version 2.1.3 Build 20101220.

    We are running 5 sites under MSM, and we have worked through most of our migration issues. However we are having a problem with file uploads for 2 of the sites.

    On most sites we can upload a file via the create entry screen and it will upload the file and insert the href string in the desired field correctly. However on 2 of our sites, if we attempt to upload a .jpg file, the file uploads correctly, however the href string is not inserted into the field of the entry screen.  If however I upload a simple text file, it uploads and inserts the appropriate href string correctly.

    I have file upload permissions set to “allow all file types”, and have opened permissions to 777 on the directories.

    Any ideas?

    Hi, dpotter2.

    Look here:

    {news_image wrap="image"}

    Does that help?

    No, I must not have been clear.

    I am talking about the edit screen in the control panel. Normally, After I upload a file,  the link that references that uploaded image file appears in the desired field (ie: body) of the edit screen. This works fine on a most of the sites, but on trying to insert a image on 2 sites, the link never gets inserted.
    It works fine for a text file but not a jpg file.

    Hi dpotter2,

    It sounds like you might be running into this bug, which is fixed in the 2.1.4 beta. On 2.1.3, make sure that you have an “img” formatting button defined in Admin > Content Administration > Default HTML Buttons with an opening tag of

    [![Link:!:http://]!]

    Does that help?

    Thanks!

    That appears to have taken care of it.
