I’ve noticed that when I add Google Analytics to a header template in ExpressionEngine, even after waiting days, weeks, months that the stats are just not correct in my Google account.  For instance one site I have says the site has 4 hits, but the ExpressionEngine stats say that it has over 106,000 hits.  I checked the tracking code and it is matches the analytics code I am using (which is current code).  I also checked my Google account and data is “being received”.

I feel like this may be an ExpressionEngine specific issue I am having.  Can anyone help?

    etapwebservices,

ExpressionEngine’s hit counter does not does differentiate between human visitors and spiders/crawlers. So that number would include every request, spammer, spiders bots etc. that Google tries hard to eliminate from its figures.

Have you got a link to your site?

My hit will be coming from Ireland with an IP address of 83.147.131.182 using FireFox as a browser if you want to check it in GA after I goto your site
