I’m trying to figure out whether MSM is the right way to go for our clients but for what I can decipher a this point, there’s a MAIN MSM installation (say domainone.com/system) and for every new website I add (say domaintwo.com) I will store all that data inside domain.com/system

    Is this assumption correct?

Also, when I provide access to my clients, is there a way to provide them with an URL that would point to THEIR website instead of the MAIN MSM installation? The way I see it, if I want to provide my user access to their website, they will have to go to domainone.com/system and NOT domaintwo.com/system. Maybe URL rewrite at the apache level?

    Hi, Oscar,

The MSM is intended for related internet properties that share one owner.  It may not be used for hosting client sites for multiple, different clients.

You will need a separate license and installation for each, separate client.
