i’m having some issues with a disallowed characters error that is being generated when a user responds to an email sent them via the system in response to a forgotten password request. here is the error in question:

    An Error Was Encountered
The URI you submitted has disallowed characters.

after doing a little research on the forums, i tried turning of .htaccess and reverting back to index.php as the homepage, but that didn’t seem to work.

    i’m running 2.1.3
    Build:  20101220
    engine hosting

Are you using an .htaccess file by any chance?

  • #5 / Jan 25, 2011 7:30pm

yes, but i did try renaming it and setting the home page to index.php in the cp to no avail. i’ll try it again. ]maybe a caching issue.
