    Hello all.

I’m having a problem with Safari and a conflict with a cookie Expression Engine is setting: whatever_tracker (“whatever” is the system).

When that cookie is placed in the Safari browser, there is a conflict with another log in page’s cookies. When whatever_tracker is removed, the log in at the other page works fine.

Has anyone ever had similar problems like this with Safari?

My Security and Session Preferences are set to “Cookies only” at both Control Panel Session Type and User Session Type. I’m not clear on what the tracking would do if these were changed to “Session ID” only. Does any one know? I’d like to change this, but don’t want to create problems for future tracking or log in access.

Thanks in advance for any advice or feedback.

    JenSkim,

What version and build of EE are you using?

When that cookie is placed in the Safari browser, there is a conflict with another log in page’s cookies.

Can you confirm what you mean by another log in page’s cookies. EE or another system?

In your Security and Session Preferences what is set for Allow multiple log-ins from a single account?

Sorry for the delay - was kicked out of the system for a bit. Here’s the answer:

    ExpressionEngine 1.6.1 - © Copyright Notice 2003 - 2007 - EllisLab, Inc.
Script executed in 1.6700 seconds   34 SQL queries used
    Build:  20071114

I mean that another log in system cookies conflict with the EE cookie called “_tracker”

How can I change the domain associated when this cookie is set?

Security and Session Preferences show “Yes” for the last question.

Thanks for taking a look at this!

Is this login system another EE install?
