Just a wee little thing: after upgrading to version 2.1.2 Build 20101215 I got the usual One or more core files have been altered notice in the CP homepage. The index.php file is mentioned twice though.

Once you acknowledged the change, does the site work as expected? I suppose you don’t have multiple files, do you?

    Hi Ingmar,

Indeed, once acknowledged everything seems to be fine.

There’s only an index.php and a .htaccess file in the root of my EE install. But, I do have two custom config variables in my index.php file ($assign_to_config[‘global_vars’][‘cv_myvar’] = ‘myvalue’; ). Should these config vars be placed in the config.php file instead since these are system-wide config items to avoid these notifications?

    Kind regards,

    Koen

If everything works as intended, don’t worry about it. The notifications are only there to alert you to any changes you might not have initiated. Please also upgrade to EE 2.1.3, thanks.

    Thanks for clearing that out.
The only thing that seemed a bit strange to me was the fact that I needed to acknowledge twice since the same file was mentioned twice.

    Hi StudioKong,

It looks like you’re actually referring to two different paths there (one with the X in XAMPP capitalized, the other lowercased). I’d make sure you’re consistent in referring to that path, but ultimately it shouldn’t cause any problems.

    Hi Brandon,

Thanks for the heads up. I think we’re all sorted now.
