    Hi,

I’m suddenly having an issue with the member login which was working before. This might have started around the time when I updated to 1.7.0.

When a link to /member/login or for me (logging in through the backend), the link to /member/profile is clicked (and shows up in the address bar of the browser) it just displays the index template.

I’ve even removed my .htaccess and added index.php back as the “Name of your site’s index page” because I thought it might have something to do with that, but apparently not.

Do you have any ideas why this might be happening?

    Thanks,
    Jan

    Jan,

Have you got a link to your website?
    Are you using any add-ons?

Do you have a template group or a physical folder in your root called member?

It is just a placeholder site with a login link where I do some EE tests: http://gesternwarnichtheute.de

The template group just contains one template (index) and is called ‘old’.

I was also testing tumble log functionality at http://test.gesternwarnichtheute.de - that is the same EE installation with a site in a subdirectory using the old method without MSM. I still have .htaccess enabled on this subdomain an the .htaccess directly references the template group in the rewrite index.php?/tumble

The installed additional modules are: Filemanager, Channel Images, Tagger Lite (disabled) and REEOrder
Installed extensions: File (by Mark Huot), MD Add Sitename, Fieldframe, Edit Tab AJAX, LG TinyMCE, Clone Entries, Channel Images Extension, Tagger Lite Extension (diabled)

Close this. At some point I absentmindedly changed the trigger word from ‘member’ to ‘members’.

Sorry to bother you with this.

One quick additional question: My EE 1 license expires on 12/28. Can I still upgrade my license to EE2 next year? Or do I have to do this this year?

I am glad to see you got to the bottom of this. As to your license: it doesn’t expire as such, you just won’t be able to download the latest version anymore after that point. Upgrading will still be possible.

Please post again in case there are any more questions.
