    Hello,

Is it possible to restrict member access on a per entry basis?
We have global site which has sections with subpages of countries, locations/ and promotions/ each country will have a page in both sections. Each country will have a members group.
The client wants a country member group to only be able to edit their 2 pages.
I know you can restrict channels but cant find any info on if this is possible.

There’s an EE1.x add-on that did this, but it’s not yet available for EE2.x. You could let them add entries, but restrict to just two entries with no pagination… Does that help?

All permissions are on a per-channel basis. That said, there are some add-ons that might be useful.

    ETA: What Sue said.

    No neither helps.
I had seen the restrict entries extension but we no longer use EE1.
The entries are pages so we cant use restrict entries via limit etc.
    Page structure is like this:

    Locations/
    - Denmark (to be edited by a danish editor)
    - Russia (a russian)
    - Australia

    etc.

The pages are identical same fields etc and listed in navigation under the locations parent.

Assign each entry an “author” and then create a SAEF page for them to edit and limit access by using “if user = author then allow editing” ?

I’ll be looking at using this soon for a community site where each business owner will be able to edit their own listing… hopefully 😊

What Cheif said is what I’d recommend.  Authors can be set to edit only their own entries, though they’d still be able to publish new entries.

Is there any plan to add this functionality ie. permissions on a per entry basis as well as a per channel basis? Its a pretty fundemental feature that is in most CMS systems I have used in the past including free blog type systems.

    Hi, Icon Inc.

Your best bet would be to post this as a Feature Request or find an existing request and add your voice to it.
