    I’ve got EE 1.6.8 build 20100121.
My website is in russian. And all my database or website settings are set to UTF-8.

So, I decided to use plugin “Safe word” to keep my posts from large links. Inside the plugin tags everything works fine except one letter. This is russian capital letter “Р” (it looks like the same as latin “P”). It’s shown not correctly.

What do I have to do?

Welcome to the ExpressionEngine forums, Burunduk.

Since you’re new to the EE forums, have you seen EEWiki:// How to Post a Support Request?

Do you have a link we can see? In other words, do you have an example I can test with to see were the problem lies? My brother lives in Latvia, and my father was a Russian linguist in the US Air Force, but I don’t have any examples to test with. 😊

    Hello, Sue 😊

Yeah, I didn’t see rules of support request, I’m sorry. But as I can see now there is nothing I have missed in my first request 😊

So, I have not an example online now. I just develop at localhost, but I can make simple page with that plugin. I will send the link by pm 😊

    Thank you

Oh, Sue, sorry. My website and DB are set to windows-1251, and at localhost I develop its version at UTF-8. I just want to change encoding in future 😊

I can show a screenshot with russian alphabet within that plugin tags:

I am a not familiar with this plugin. Have you contacted its author for support? That said, and particularly if this is a newly developed site, do start using utf-8 right from the start, it will make things much easier for you.
