    Hi,

Out of the blue a client is unable to edit one, unique record.  Each time they try to access it via the CP, they get a 500 Internal Server Error message.  The front-end page(s) that display data from that record are working just fine.

The control panel seems to be working fine otherwise, and as far as I can tell they can access and edit all other records (although I haven’t tried to open very record manually—yet).

I would expect it to be a server issue if it were site-wide, but it seems bizarre that its only happening with one record which makes me wonder if its ee….?

    Thanks.

This sounds like a possible issue with mod_security or some other such mechanism. Can you ask the host about it, and if so have them disable (or tweak) it?

Sorry to leave this one hanging for so long, but its all sorted out.

The issue was that the record was using Matrix and the nGen file field to manage an image gallery, but the server PHP memory limit was too low.  So once the client added one row to many, it began to throw the Internal Server Error.  After upping the PHP memory limit, everything is fixed.  Thanks.

Glad you were able to figure out what the problem was. Don’t hesitate to post again as needed.
