I’m trying to put a flash video on one of my subpages and it’s not showing up.  Where should the swf file go?  When I put it on the home page, it works, as the swf’s are in my public_html folder (the top level of the site, same as index.php), but when I try to put it on a sub template/page, it won’t load.  Where should it go?

At some point I’ll want to load the movies as part of a channel, so my client can upload new videos and automatically play them on the site…so please help me understand where the page is looking for this file.  If the page is here:  http://www.mysite.com/index.php/video…should there be a video folder on my site for the flash?  I tried this and it didn’t work.

    Thanks for any help!
    Best,
    Sharon

    Hi Sharon,

You can place the flash file wherever you’d like, for example http://mysite.com/images/myflash.swf or something similar. That path does not have to correlate to the template name/template group.

Most likely you’re running into a pathing issue, so try using an absolute path to your flash file. I’d also recommend Firebug or Chrome’s developer tools to spot 404 errors during page loads and see what your browser is actually requesting.
