I understand ee core has been discontinued, but is it still possible to download it? I have version 1.6.8 and I am in the process of relocating my website to a new server. I can’t seem to find the download anymore. Do I have to buy ee 2.0? I don’t really want to upgrade due to heavy modifications.

EECore is no longer available for download. To use EE now, you will need to purchase a license. EE 2 non-commercial and commercial do include EE 1.7 as well, so you do not need to upgrade to EE 2 immediately.
