    Hi,

I’m trying to use the ‘Splitter’ plug-in to correct issues I’m having with my gallery layout http://www.thepeartree.co.nz/index.php/gallery/index. Link to plug-in: http://utilitees.silenz.org/index.php/docs/item/splitter-documentation

The problemis that I can’t get it to work - does anyone know if the gallery module is compatible with this plug-in? Due to the way the gallery module tags work using {category_row}, {row_start}, and {row}?

    Here is my code:

I’m happy to have any suggestion - this has been driving me nuts for days now :-(

Or if anyone has any suggestion on how I might edit the code to make a dynamic table for the categories instead?

    Thanks

If all you’re after is a neat grid simply up the min-heigth on .catThumbs to about 290px.
You could even use a bit of jQuery to equalize the heights of those divs so you don’t even have to set a height:

or check out something like Masonry:

    Hi e-man,

Ha! Such a simple solution! That explains why is was working fine before and then went all out of alignment!

I have increased the minimum height in the css and its working grand, but really like the look of using the jQuery method you suggested for other things, it could be really useful. I’m more of a designer and trying to learn more about jQuery - do you have any examples that you know of how this code should be used?

    Many Thanks again!

    No prob 😊
My homepage http://www.stookstudio.com/ uses a few lines of jQuery to equalize the heights of the 3 columns you see. View source, it’s very easy.
If you’re thinking of diving into jQuery:
    http://www.learningjquery.com/
    http://jqueryfordesigners.com/
    and the jquery docs:
    http://jqapi.com/
should be your first port of call.
