I have a problem due to some bad decisions made by the original developer.  They used categories WAY too much when they should have used custom fields in some cases.

As a result, I need to filter results that have one of SEVERAL categories, and also have a SPECIFIC category.

I’m fairly good at using the query module, but I’m not having much luck with this problem so I’d thought I’d see if I could get some help from the community.

I am afraid a custom SQL query would probably be your best option here, yes. Perhaps you could show us what you have so far? I’ll also move this to the CodeShare Corner.
