Comment Preview Now Seems to Miss Channel Entries (Otherwise OK)

    Something odd is happening which is affecting the main site and secondary site which are coded in different ways.

    I am developing a new channel on the secondary site. The comment form shows a single article entry and provides a comment form with the obligatory preview and submit buttons.

    The comment form has the parameters:

    {exp:comment:form preview="{myTemplateGroup}/preview" channel="{myChannel}"}

    On entering some dummy comments and hitting the preview button I get
    1) no part of the channel entry - no result from channel:entries tag (identical to that on the comments template)
    2) the preview comment + form - wanted

    Looking at the title bar it is clear that it has found the preview template. For some reason the url shown in the browser bar is just the base {site_url} which presumably explains why the channel entry and prior comments aren’t displayed. I don’t know why it is dong this, however.

    I checked with the other channel on the secondary site which had previously worked - this does exactly the same i.e. doesn’t work. I’ve also checked the main site which has 2 channels and again this doesn’t now work. They don’t share templates nor redirects or anything that I can see.

    If you look at http://systems-thinkers.org/index.php/articles/comments/system_of_systems_sos_is_an_arrangement_not_a_type you’ll see the problem (still undergoing development and not in the public domain)

    Any clues gratefully received.

    Hi wikitect,

    I can reproduce this behaviour and have therefore reported it to our bug tracker. Please follow that report for updates.

    Cheers

    Greg
