Wow!! Just out of interest, how did you make that?
I’ve only ever seen one made before which had multiple pages but didn’t have all the bookmarks working though.
If it’s easy enough to do then I’d love to be able to make one for the 1.7.x version of ExpressionEngine myself.
Thanks in advance for any info on how you created that and thanks for sharing it.
Best wishes,
Mark

Hi,
For anyone still wanting to know how this can be done.
Adobe Acrobat Pro (non free version of Acrobat unfortunately) allows you to simply create PDF from web page.
File -> Create PDF -> From Web Page
Set your settings:
- Get only: 6 levels
- Stay on same path
- Stay on same server
Create
After a while you will have an entire user guide download to PDF.
Hope this helps someone.

Hi Jaceks,
I’ve tried that in the past but unfortunately I just get error messages in my version of Acrobat saying things like No Input File Page Data or Unknown Format.
Not sure what I’m doing wrong though, any ideas?
Best wishes,
Mark

Hi Mark,
I am not sure why this wouldn’t work for you but here are some things to look at:
1. Do you run any firewall that could block Acrobat from accessing the web?
2. Have you entered the correct URL in URL field in Acrobat Create PDF from Web Page form?
The version that I tested it on was 9.4.5 for Mac.
I am also attaching some screenshots of my settings that I used previously and that I know worked without any problems.
See attached.

Jacek

Hiya,
Seems you beat me to it. I did indeed have a Firewall that was at play here. Not really sure why a rule had been made for Acrobat but it did indeed have one set which was not allowing it to do anything at all.
Seems to be working okay now although from what I can see of what it’s downloaded so far, fonts aren’t coming out the same as on the site and also images aren’t downloading properly. It’s almost like when you get an image that doesn’t download fully or sort of like a progressive gif file.
Does seem to be downloading now though so thanks.
Best wishes,
Mark

Mark,
Glad it worked for you thus far.
If you are still having issues with images, fonts then check the HTML Conversion Settings
Also, make sure there are no other Firewall rules that could block Acrobat from accessing URL’s.
See attached.

Jacek
