One of the things about CI that I thought was fantastic was the docs, but if we don’t start to see some CI love… then where do we go?

CI is just so awesome in it’s simplicity, docs… but I don’t even want to think about moving to another framework yet here I am. I have kids, a VERY busy workday, hobbies… programming isn’t so much fun anymore, it’s work. I have other things I rather do… liek play guitar. Learning a new framework isn’t one of them… CI is that good. I can hear what someone wants ... I can bust it out in a few hours. I just need to write apps and move on, and truth be told I could probably get by with CI 1.7.2 for more than a little while.

However, I would think NOTHING of paying a little bit for each install of CI, all of us should ... how much time which translates into money has it saved us all? Hours and hours. So for something like $50 ... no problem ... paid. If you can’t add $50 to your clients bill w/o sweat, go work at Burger King. You are in the wrong business.

SO forget Mojo Ellis… no one cares or needs another CMS ... what we need is the toolkit because every project is different. Boss or client says I want “x, y, z” ... we say… no problem. We don’t want a wordpress.

There is nothing wrong with paying a little scratch for quality tools, I feel like open source continually shoots itself in the foot. Give CI some love, I have no problems paying for the tools.

Dear Ellislabs, can we start to see some CI love or are you boxing us into the corner of moving on?
