    Hi,

I’m unable to upload files with File Manager and Multi Site Manager. I’m able to upload files on the main website but it doesn’t work with the second site I configured with MSM.

I Firebugged the whole thing when I tried to upload a file through Content / File Manager. When I select a file, the upload fails with this javascript error :

    d.onFailure is not a function
    [Break on this error] e,d.data):d.onFailure("Connection time…unction(){o()},0)}};h()})}})(jQuery);

URL of the Javascript with error (line 75) :

    /system/index.php?S=96e1d0165399ab703c8a7400095e475f499118d7&D=cp&C=javascript&M=combo_load&plugin=overlay,overlay.apple,ee_upload&file=cp/file_manager_home&v=1287963110

I’d be happy to know if it’s a known bug and if there is a fix, even temporary.

    Thanks a lot !

Hi, Benjamin. What version/build of EE are you using? You can find that at the bottom of any control panel page.

Have you seen: EEWiki:// HowTo Determine Memory Limits

    EEWiki:// HowTo Override Memory Limitations

How much memory is allocated to PHP? Do small files (such as one of the smileys) work?

Hi Sue. I’m using the latest version, 2.1.1.

I don’t think this is a memory issue, I’m unable to upload even small files. I’ve also uploaded images successfully on the default website and unable to do it with the same image a the seccond Multi Site Manager website.

Have you seen Where Am I?

That article has a small PHP script in it to help you get the system path to your uploads folder.

Hi Sue, I’m quite sure that I’ve set up the upload folder correctly as in Content / File Manager, I can see the files I uploaded with an FTP client. I also checked the permissions and my upload folder, which are set to 777. But still not working.

The only new thing I discovered trying to debug this problem was that this d.onFailure javascript function seems to be located in a file called ee_upload.js.

The weirdes in all of this t is that the upload works on the default MSM site but not on the second one. Could this be some kind of cross scripting issue ?

    Thank you !

    Hi Benjamin,

I’m not able to replicate on my end, so please try updating your control panel themes. I’d suggest deleting your themes/cp_themes folder entirely and replacing it with that from the latest download package. Then be sure to refresh your browser on the File Manager page. Any change?
