This is real irritating.  I upgraded to 2.1 and all I’m trying to do is add an image to the post and the code doesn’t appear, but uploads to the image directory (I check).  All I’m doing is writing the text, then clicking on the little image icon.  The upload prompt appears, I select the image to upload and no image code appears in the text.  What’s going on?

Don’t know if it is the answer to your question, but I have noticed that the thumbnails have to have been ‘built’ before the image insert works.

I don’t have time to fool around with this nonsense.  I paid $50.00 to upgrade and I can’t use it! I’m getting my money back.  I’m pissed.  This is crap.  What good is it if I can’t post an image?  And yes, I checked the path.  It is correct and the same as before the upgrade.  Nonsense.

DesertRat, I’m sorry you’re feeling frustrated.

Which version/build of EE2.x are you using?

Have you seen: EEWiki:// HowTo Determine Memory Limits

How much memory is allocated to PHP? Making thumbnails can take more memory.
