    Hello,

    I’m referencing a thread that was moved to the CodeShare Corner, but which I have some followup questions on.

    http://ellislab.com/forums/viewthread/169815/

    I’m seeing this occur in EE 2.1.0 in addition to 1.6.8 where I originally referenced it.

    The solution thread provided in response to my post doesn’t seem related. I’m able to successfully load a page with a querystring from Google…up to a certain number of characters. Then it dies.

    Can anyone from EE shed some light on this? The thread was moved over because the support team couldn’t officially support URL Rewriting (understandable), but I’m not convinced that’s the issue.

    Thanks,
    Mark

    What issues are you seeing? In response to what URLs? Right off the bat, EE won’t like (“Invalid Get Data”) certain characters in it’s URL, most notably (in the case of Google Analytics) the vertical bar.

    Hi Ingmar,

    If you look at this update: http://ellislab.com/forums/viewreply/810810/

    I’ve identified the character at which point it fails. It’s actually a ‘.’, one of which precedes that instance and works fine. The only other character I see aside from alphanumeric is a ‘-’, but that’s after the point where I can trigger the failure.

    If you look at that thread you’ll see a URL that does & does not work, regardless of Rewrites in use or not.

    Thanks!
    Mark

    Mark,

    In your system/expressionengine/config/config.php can you change

    $config['uri_protocol']    = 'AUTO';

    to

    $config['uri_protocol']    = 'PATH_INFO';

    and see if that makes a difference

    Same error, unfortunately. It works once I strip the URL down to that last ‘.’ in utmb, but not with any characters, alphanumeric, beyond that.

    Hi Mark,

    I was able to reproduce and filed a bug report here. Please keep an eye on that for updates. Thanks!
