    This question may be related to a resolved thread.

    Hi. I’m new to EE, so apologies if I’ve missed something basic. Descriptions of the Pages Module make it seem simple to use, but I haven’t been able to get it to work. I’m using EE v2.1.0 Build 20100810.  When I create an entry in the channel that holds the appropriate (static) template, then view the page or go to the page URI - the only thing that’s shown is the unparsed template i.e.

    {exp:channel:entries channel="site" disable="pagination"} {title}, {page_uri}
    {/exp:channel:entries}

    The problem also seems similar to these threads:
    pages Module not working

    Pages module content won’t display

    This thread was resolved, but I’d like to know more about how it was solved - there wasn’t enough information for me to follow any steps taken to sort out the problem. Would really appreciate any suggestions.

    Hi MerryK,

    The template that you are using to display the Pages module entry must be set to be of type webpage and not static. Can you check that please?

    Cheers

    Aghh. Yes, that was my mistake. Oh well - next time. I used Mike Boyink’s “No-Module-Required Static Content in ExpressionEngine”, which has done the job nicely. I met my deadline, but will be looking at the Pages module again. Another time, I might get it right..
