Does the {comment} element automatically inherit some kind of block-level attributes?
I am trying to render it inside the rest of my styling, but it is forcing an extra tag around itself?
Is there a config for this somewhere?

mmcclung, you can set the comments to have their own formatting choice like you do textareas. I’ll bet you have them set to XHTML.
Might that be the issue?
