Working template groups and templates into existing URL structure

    I have a client that has everything at the root level of the domain as flat files (http://www.website.com/everypage). I have created channel entries to eliminate the need for templates for every page.

    I’m wondering if the template or the template group can be hidden to support existing urls.

    It would be fine to have the templates needed in the template group that contains the site index if that is an option.

    Hi, Todd. You’d need a single entry page, and use the Pages module to accomplish this. The only caveat is that you need to not use the same template group name as any of the “pages”.

    Here’s a real world example:

    http://eehowto.com/current-version

    See the attached image. I’m using the howto/articles template to display the entry, but clicking the link listed above works too.

    Hi Sue. I’ve used the Pages module a handful of times so I’m somewhat familiar. Having said that, I wasn’t aware that you could hide the template_group/template string in the url. Is this what you are suggesting?
