HI i have been trying for hours trying to install howevever had no luck. I uploaded the files via filezilla to the host.

The index on the server appears as

expressionEngine2.1.0
stats
system

First of all is this how it is suppose to be displayed i deleted and re downloaded and not sure if things were copied twice.

The overall problem is i cannot find the installation wizard in expressioneEngine2.1.0/system/installer

Theres a list of icons but none of them include installation wizard.

I have followed the instalation instructions. i am not sure what i need to change to follow the following step.

Image files should be uploaded in BINARY format. The texb.ttf (TrueType Font) file in the system/expressionengine/fonts/ folder should be uploaded in BINARY format. All other files should be uploaded in ASCII format (also known as “text” format).

Please help i have been working on this for hours and havent gotten anything accomplished.

As per my email, here are some of the tips to help you move forward.

You would want to go to the site at http:// and to make sure that you are uploading the appropriate files as per:

http://ellislab.com/expressionengine/user-guide/installation/installation.html

Generally that would end up looking like:

http://aroundthe-corner.com/system/

not quite the link you supplied.

When you do go here:

http://aroundthe-corner.com/ExpressionEngine2.1.0/system/

It looks like there may be a permissions problem. With:

http://aroundthe-corner.com/system/

404’ing.

So I’d double check where you have uploaded everything, and your permissions. Beyond that, our support staff will be able to help you with this.

Hi everybody.

Im hoping somebody can help me install because i am having trouble. I uploaded everything to my host. however when i direct my browser to .com/system/installer it just takes me to the files in the installer folder. Is the installation wizard supposed to just pop up or am i to click on something to run the installation wizard. someone please help.

We have been trying to upload the EE 2.1 software for the better part of 3 days. We have posted and emailed and no one has responded.
Could someone PLEASE help. Can not get the instillation wizard to open.

First things first - can you please upload our simple Server Wizard to your server and make sure that runs correctly? That will help us determine the next step.
