Hi all,

I am having an issue with people using the Private Messages feature within the Forums 3.0 modules in EE 2.1.0 and MSM.

As a Super Admin, we are sending messages internally to our members using the Private Message Feature. However, they will receive one of the following error message via email and not be able to receive the meesage:

<member> has just attempted to send you a Private Message, but your inbox is full, exceeding the maximum of 60.

The inboxes for the following members are currently full, and to send this message you must remove them from your Recipeints or CC fields

I have increased the maximum PM to 160 and besides, there is NOTHING in the mailbox.

Is this a bug? Am I missing a setting?

I have gone through Member Preferences, Private Message Privileges as well as Forum Management Preferences but nothing is working.

Ideas?

Hi Jeff,

Can you please confirm the build numbers of the forums, EE and MSM? How many members are you attempting to send messages to? Are you selecting one member group to PM or are you adding individual usernames as recipients? Does it work if you just send a PM to one member?

The current version of ExpressionEngine is v2.1.0 Build 20100810, MSM Current Version: 2.x - Build: 20100805, and Forum Current Version: 3.1.0 - Build: 20100805.

It appears that Super Admins can send messages to each other with no problems. However, when Super Admins or other Members try to send to Members they receive messages like:

Subject: Your private message mailbox is full

<removed>,

Admin has just attempted to send you a Private Message, but your inbox is full, exceeding the maximum of 160.

Please log in and remove unwanted messages from your inbox at: <removed link>

Have they, in fact, turned on receiving of PMs? Do you as the Sender also get a message telling you about the full inbox?
