We have a number of websites running expression engine but have recently set up a new server infrastructure that is load balanced (2 load balancers, 3 web servers, 2 database servers). We are finding that the websites on the new servers are have intermitent issues causing the front end to take a long time to load or not load at all. The back end however can be accessed during this time. Can someone provide some pointers as to where the issue may be occuring? We went about 3 months without issues but for some reason yesterday the problem reoccured.

Databases are cached on the server and have been turned off in EE as this can apparently conflict. Databases are monitored and are not showing heavy load. CPU load on the servers are very low. The website has been optimised (disabled all unrequired queries to the DB)

    Any help would be appreciated!!

kreate, we can give you a few pointers on speeding things up. Have you seen:

I know you mentioned you weren’t having what you’d consider extreme traffic, but this should help too.
