Hi there,

Currently I’m figuring out the best way to accomplish the following:

1. 5 Contributing Authors
2. 1 Blog, but can filter to read entries by either category or author

This is where it gets tricky

3. In the control panel I want to prevent authors from seeing each others articles.  This is to simplify & streamline - so they can’t see what each other is working on while the articles are in draft format, and can’t accidentally edit the other persons article at any time (especially after publishing).

Is there something I can do either in setting up the site, or via a control panel option to accomplish point #3?

I’d imagine you’d have to create 5 member groups & 5 Channels, assign each member a group then in the group preferences allow them to see everything you want except each others channel.

You’d need to create five different members, but you wouldn’t have to resort to creating different groups and channels.

See these settings? Set them for the member group you create for this particular purpose.
