    Hello,

While developing a site locally, I have been experiencing some odd behavior in the Control Panel.

At random times, the page is very slow to finish loading. Using the Webkit Inspector, I noticed when this behavior occurs, I get the following MIME type errors (screenshot attached).

In addition, some of the image files do not appear in the UI. As you can see in the screenshot, the images are loaded, but the dimensions come in as 0x0.

I’m not sure if this odd behavior is due to my development environment (MAMP Pro w/ PHP 5.3). I am using the latest 2.1 build (20100810).

Hmm. Upon further investigation, it may be my .htaccess file. When emptying out the file, I can’t replicate the issues.

Yep. mod_deflate.c was the culprit. DEFLATE text/html, to be exact. Same issue when turning GZIP on and off in the EE control panel.
