Before I submit this to the bug tracker, I just want to make sure other people can reproduce the issue and it’s not just a problem with my database or something.

Putting apostrophe-s after linked text to make it possessive outputs as a curly single quote facing the wrong direction within the entries tag.

For example, if you wanted to write a blog entry about “IMDb‘s new layout” the apostrophe would be a curly single quote curling toward the s. It’s most obvious with fonts like Times New Roman and Georgia.

Issue also exists in EE 1.6.9

Hmmm.. I’m testing on a slightly different build than the current version, and can’t replicate..

Thanks for giving it a shot. That’s interesting, I wonder what I did that could cause this. I completely deleted my system folder before the upgrade to 2.1 so really only the config.php and database itself carried over.

Here’s an example of the flippage on a live site. [link]

Remember I mentioned a “slightly newer build”. In other words, the next release won’t have this issue. 😊 Does that help?

Unfortunately I don’t have a date/time for when a new release is due.

That definitely helps 😊 It’s a super trivial issue, but nice to know a fix is in the pipeline because it tends to pop up a lot on my site due to linked names, titles, etc.

    Thanks!
