This is not mentioned in the User Guide under General Configuration and every combination I have tried does not work. And, my install of Wygwam is not working due to this.

What goes in this field EXACTLY please? For example:

    http://www.website.com/themes/

    or

    http://www.website.com/themes/

    or

    /themes/

    etc

    Thanks

OK, found this answer on another thread. In case anyone gets here with a similar question, the answer is…

you need a complete thread similar to this:
    /home/user/website.com/themes/

If you are also in the cpanel on the “general configuration” page and click the “help” button atop the page, you’ll be taken here: http://ellislab.com/expressionengine/user-guide/cp/admin/system_admin/general_configuration.html
Which explains what each item does and how to use it.

As a matter of fact, when viewing any page in the backend and you click on “help” it takes you to that pages help contents 😊

Hello, good morning and thanks for the assistance!

My first recourse was to try to refer to the documentation but actually
    http://ellislab.com/expressionengine/user-guide/cp/admin/system_admin/general_configuration.html
doesn’t have info on populating “Themes Folder Path”, although it does give the info for the “URL to your Themes folder”.

But the 2 fields turned out to be pretty distinct.
The Themes Folder Path used the full path like this:
    /home/user/website.com/themes/

That isn’t something that I tried in my guesses. I probably never would have thought of it as I don’t usually use “/home/user/...” anywhere. But, thankfully I did finally find a thread that spoke of it.

Maybe that information could get added to the user guide? (Or is it actually there and I am somehow not seeing it? I feel I read it through multiple times.)

**As it turns out, this was not the nature of my issue, which I have now resolved. Maybe the reason that it hasn’t come to light about it missing from the documentation is that it isn’t a very “vital” field for most functions of EE?? When left blank it didn’t error but all other incorrect entries caused an error alert.

Thanks again for your response. ~Donna

So you managed to set the path correctly? Are you all set?

Yeppers, I seem to have muddled my way through. Sorry I got so frustrated during the course of the weekend, though! Thanks for your help.
