Ok, my company is NOW telling me to use the wonderful international page I made for them for ONLY our store in San Francisco.
This complicates things, because now I have to direct all product inquires to the manager of the SF store, and the company has told me NO on getting a separate shopping cart (even tough I could get everything set up nicely with cartthrob). They want the customers to email inquires to the manager.
So I am trying to use the tell-a-friend to do this. Now I already HAVE a tell-a-friend form attached to all the product pages to so that the customers can email each other product information. So I tried to link a second tell-a-friend form to the page, and “Inquiry” page.
I first copied and pasted the code from the working tell-a-friend page to the inquiry page. Despite the code being exactly the same, none of the item names etc are being passed on to the inquiry form, but it works on the first tell-a-friend form (same code).
I wonder if this is because I should only have one tell-a-friend linked to my product page.. and perhaps I should just use a mailto instead
or somehow knock some sense into my company who is living in a html 1.0 world… nope, THAT would be too hard…
