    After doing a brand new install of EE2.1 I noticed any template other then the primary wouldn’t pull up. The site would default to whatever was set as the 404 page. Since I wasn’t that far along anyway I removed the whole installation and started fresh. This time I chose to begin with the Agile Records template just to make sure I was doing things correctly. With no modifications at all, I’m seeing the exact same issue. The home page pulls up just fine but the other pages are reporting “not found”. I have no htaccess file.

    For back story I was having issues installing to beign with because I’m on a shared Godaddy server. These installs are only after making a modification to the system/installer/config/routes.php
    and change this

    $route['404_override'] = "";

    to this

    $route['404_override'] = "wizard/index";

    Any ideas?

    Do you’ve got a link to the site? I suspect you’ll have to force query strings.

    Yep, that was it. Thank you! Just needed to turn that on and it started working. Is it possible to get rid of the index.php?/ from the links with an htaccess file? I know how without the ? but have no idea how to do it when force query strings is on.

    Yes, it’s been done, but as with all server side rewrites we can’t support it officially. Moving to the CodeShare Corner for additional community support.
