    Howdy-

    I used the sample RSS template to build a feed.

    I have an entry in my channel called “Father’s Day Picnic Baskets”. The title displays fine everywhere but the RSS feed, where it displays like so:

    Father’s Day Picnic Baskets

    If I remove the CDATA wrapper from around the title in the RSS template, it displays fine.

    I typed this apostrophe with my own pinky finger—I didn’t paste it from anywhere.

    And, it only happens in the title—not in the body of the entry.

    What’s happening to apostrophes in entry titles that makes them render improperly in the sample RSS template?

    This is 20100720.

    Thanks!

    Hi Hoosteeno,

    In my RSS template I’m wrapping my titles with

    {exp:xml_encode}{/exp:xml_encode}

    and only using the CDATA tags on the body. Give that a shot.

    Also ensure that your feed validates, and finally, it wouldn’t hurt to update to the latest build.

    Hey Brandon, the xml_encode plugin worked great. Thanks!
