    Pardon me.

Is there a way to post an entry to two different channels at the same time?  The drop down only shows the selected channel (from the drop down menu).

Also, is there a way to assign a specific category (not category group) to a specific template group?

    Thank you kindly.

    TristanM -

As far as I know, and someone correct me if I’m wrong, there is no way to post to multiple channels at once out of the box. Unfortunately, it is also not possible to assign categories to template groups - these can be assigned only to channels. (To my knowledge, it is not possible to assign anything to templates, a la MODx, out of the box.)

There are probably better ways to duplicate content in multiple areas of your site than to post multiple copies of it in different channels, but it’s hard to say which method would work best for you without a specific use case.

    Good luck!

    Thanks for the reply, Lance.

I just went ahead and created the separate channel for the sub-section.  It’s not what I wanted to do, however it works.

Tristan - perhaps you could back up and tell us what the goal is for how your content appears? Duplicating entries is not usually the best approach.
