I have TinyMCE File Upload Browser installed and everything works fine until the file gets to 100% uploaded, then I get the error message: “File upload failed - please check your permissions for ‘/images/uploads/’ and also your php.ini settings.”

My file permissions for that directory are set for Read/Write/Execute (EE is running on a Windows server—I know, I know)for everyone and my php.ini setting for file_uploads is set to on. What am I missing?

What version and build of EE are you using? Can you upload files via the regular file upload too, ie without TinyMCE?

I am using 1.6.8. I just tried the upload file option with embed in entry option and it seemed to upload (no error thrown), but the image did not appear in the assigned field (i.e. “body” field).

EDIT: Just checked the folder through FTP and the file did upload.

Can you upgrade to a more recent version? It’s a recommended update and would make sure that we’re on the same page, in terms of code. Thanks.

Do I need to update to 2.0?

No, if you want to stay on 1.x that’s fine, just make it 1.6.9.
