Image problem after upgrading from 1.6.4 to 2.1.0

I’m sure this is something I’ve got wrong somewhere.  When I do a link from an image from within the control panel on one of my channels, it gets monkeyed up even within the CP preview.  For example:

    https://ellislab.com/asset/images/team-photo/SRR_logo_4color_140x100.jpg

    becomes almost

    http://.../images/uploads/SRR_logo_4color_140x100.jpg width=

except that there is a second quotation mark following “border: 0;” that gets cut out in this post.  It looks like it moves it from the end of the file name.  This happens with any image placed in an entry from within that channel.  I don’t have the same problem from another channel, but can’t see the difference.  Both are XHTML.  It worked fine prior to the upgrade.  Any idea where I’ve gone wrong?

I forgot to mention that the issue carries over to posts on the site as well.

Are these new posts, or older ones?

    Chessie,

What version and build are you using?
    Are you using any add-ons?

Have you got a link to one of the posts in question so we can see it?

Version is 2.1.0 and build is 20100720.  The only add-on I had in place at/after conversion was Freeform.  Since then I’ve added WYMEditor, but it did not change the behavior and is not used on this channel.  Since this is a live site I removed all offending posts.  I have reactivated one post and will PM you the location.

    Chessie,

In the File Upload Location properties, what is set for Max Image Height, Width and Image Properties?

There is no max height or width (blank).  The image properties are style=“border: 0;” alt=“image”.

What about the other items such as the paths?

    Server Path: /home/bndeztw/public_html/images/uploads/
    URL: http://www.{mysite}.org/images/uploads/
Images only allowed.  Other than image properties specified previously, everything else is blank.  I think if the paths were wrong probably no images would show, but other than in this one channel images display fine.  I keep thinking I’m overlooking something obvious.  If it displayed okay in the CP preview then I’d suspect my template, but it has the same issue in both places.

Do other channels using this same file upload location have the same issue?

No.  Even using the same image in the same location they don’t have the issue.  Weird, huh?

    Chessie,

What is the Default Text Formatting for This Field. Does it differ from other fields in other Channels that do work?

Can you manually clear your cache by FTPing into /system/expressionengine/cache/ and deleting all folders except index.html and the .htaccess file

Default formatting and actual formatting were both XHTML in applicable field of both channels.  Since updating EE (but after this issue was identified) I added WYMEditor to the channel that was (and still is) working correctly.  It’s not used on the non-working channel.  Manually deleting cache unfortunately didn’t have any effect.
