After updating from 1.6.9 to 2.1.0, I am getting the error “Site Error: Unable to Load Site Preferences; Invalid Preference Data”. What I need to do for solving this?

I restored all the server files after the incomplete upgrade. But the backup database is the corrupted one. I think my database table “exp_sites” had corrupted. Can you tell me what values do I need to enter in that table so as it can work correctly.

Please ask me if you need more information for solving this.

    Fields in that table are

    site_id
    site_label
    site_name
    site_description
    site_system_preferences
    site_mailinglist_preferences
    site_member_preferences
    site_template_preferences
    site_channel_preferences
    site_pages
    site_bootstrap_checksums

And their values are in an unreadable form like a password except the site_label.
Please post the values how they look like.

Or do I need to check anything else?
    Please help me in this.

    Hi ioannisk,

The information in that table is stored as a serialized array, which will looks strange. It’s probably not corruption. Once you’ve restored your files and database back to their 1.6.9 version, are you able to access the site?

I check with my backup data and that table is corrupted. I modified that one and it works fine now. Thanks. 😊
