Notice: fwrite() [function.fwrite]: send of 35 bytes failed with errno=0 An existing connection was forcibly closed by the remote host. in D:\inetpub\truejustice\ee\system\core\core.email.php on line 1561

Hi guys, I sure would be grateful for your take on this.

The only time we use the email system is in the registration activation process which, as we only do it about once a week, involves 50-100 emails all at once.

Could we be exceeding a limit set by the hoster? Crystaltech, the best, but there have been some spam issues by other customers that hurt all of us for short periods.

They are pretty cagey about preventative measures taken (I wonder why!!)

An existing connection was forcibly closed by the remote host.

That means that the mail server refused and terminated the connection. Perhaps there is more info to be found in the server logs? Your host might be able to help you here.

Can you send email regularly via the Communicate tab?
What version and build of EE are you using?
