Hi All, here’s a strange one.

I’ve managed to talk our head of dept into giving EE a go as our current CMS (RedDot) is both rubbish and expensive. The problem I have is this:

the entire site is written in .NET - we want to create a new directory (trying to tempt graduates into enrolling with us). Can I simply point the install to mydomain.com/myEEdir and use EE as if I was installing at the root? This myEEdir will be the only EE directory until the whole site gets re-written using EE.

So, just to make myself clear, here a dummy dir structure I’m trying to explain:

    http://www.mydomain.com/dir1 - ASP.NET powered
    http://www.mydomain.com/dir2 - ASP.NET powered
    http://www.mydomain.com/dir3 - ASP.NET powered
    http://www.mydomain.com/dir4 - EE powered
    http://www.mydomain.com/dir5 - ASP.NET powered

    Thanks in advance,
    Brett

Yes, you can install EE into a subdirectory, no problem.
