Problem with PHPmail - cant send any emails

Hi

I cant send any emails, through ‘forms’ or using the commuicate area in EE, since installed. (Although the information sent in forms is captured in the database)

Im using a linux server, build v 1.6.9 of EE

I get this error in the communiate area of EE..whats can i do to fix please?? Im not great with PHP so give me an easy time please :0)

Unable to send email at this time.
Debugging Message
Unable to send email using PHP mail(). Your server might not be configured to send mail using this method.

I have also just tried the email_test.php file and get this error:
Email Test Script
Error: Unable to send your email

Dimensions, what does your host have to say about this? The email_test.php file uses just just PHP, EE isn’t involved in this case.
