    Hi guys,

    I’ve been trying to get this to work today without much luck. I have just received this error:

    A PHP Error was encountered

    Severity: Notice

    Message: Undefined property: EE::$api_channel_fields

    Filename: api/Api_channel_entries.php

    Line Number: 911

    Although the entry was added to the channel.

    Can you just confirm how I need to set this up because the documentation isn’t very clear.

    For example I have:

    Channel called: notebook
    Moblog called: iphone_notebook
    On the homepage of my site I call this on the very first line:

    {exp:moblog:check silent="true" which="iphone_notebook"}

    iphone_notebook should add the entry to the notebook channel which I then use at the url: mydomain.com/notebook

    Am I doing something wrong?

    Welcome to the forums, Phil. What exactly are you trying to do? What version and build are you using? Are you using any extensions?

    Hi,

    I am trying to do exactly what the previous writer is trying to do: Get my EE2 site to check a moblog triggered by visiting a webpage on the site.

    Build version: 20100415

    I have Pixel & Tonic’s Matrix extension installed.

    Hi Phil,

    Before we try and troubleshoot this can you please update your installation to the latest build using these instructions.

    Cheers

    Hi Greg,

    Thanks for that suggestion, it seems to have fixed the issue. I will keep testing over the course of the week.

    Do you know if there are any resources of threads regarding setting up a staging area to test a site before it goes into full production?

    I mainly want to create a testing area, a staging area to show the site to client(s) before going live.

    Regards,

    Philip

    Philip, depending on where you want to stage something you could either use a protected template group or set up a template group on another site to show them.

    Glad things are working again. Don’t hesitate to post again as needed.
