Getting further into my first project and I’m faced with a couple questions and would love some help.
1. I have a template that displays content based on logged in logged out status, and if logged out, I provide a link for the user to register first before he or she can view this template. I created a stand-alone register page, but I’m not sure it matters that I did this, since I can’t figure out how to return the new member to the address they want after they have completed the email authentication process. Of course, I don’t want this to interfere with the standard registration process. Is it possible to store something in the authentication link that returns the user to the original template they started on?
2. Is there a way to allow for opt-in / opt-out of emails within the standard or stand-alone registration form? How about multiple opt in/opt out “groups” for optimal user segmentation?
