In the Search and Replace Tool in the EE2 Control Panel (Admin > Tools > Data > Search and Replace), when I try to select a channel field from the dropdown labeled “In what database field do you want the replacement to occur?”, all channel names in parenthesis next to channel field name are the same.

eg. for a field like “Body (News)”, all channel fields have “(News)” as the channel name, even fields not in the “News” channel.

It might not be a problem when all channel fields are labeled differently, but when I there are many channel fields labeled “Body”, for example, the channel name in parenthesis is the only way to easily differentiate fields. I attached an image to show my situation in the dropdown. The dropdown should be something like:

    Body - English (News)
    Body - English (Blog)
    Body - English (Services)
    ...

Looks like the latest channel is being used everywhere to display the channel name. I can still hunt down the field_id in Firefox/Webkit to find my target field, but this should be fixed.

    Thank you for your time.

I’m surprised this one hasn’t come up before- thanks for the excellent explanation.  I checked- doesn’t look like this one has been reported in the bug tracker, so if you could add it in, we’ll update there once a fix is in.

ETA- and shifting to EE2 Tech Support forum, as we’re trying to keep things consolidated.
