Hi there,
Has anyone had this problem?
I edited a long article (3,000 words) proofed it, posted it.
After about 4 days, I discovered that spaces had disappeared between words and after punctuation marks, making the text almost unreadable.
eg,

I can’t understand why. I followed my normal protocols when importing the text.
This has happened a good number of times, always inexplicably.
My first suspicion was the soft carriage returns in a Word document had not been replaced by a space, but this does not seem to be the case. As far as I can see, it happened after it had been posted for a few days.
Any ideas?

First off it is recommended you upgrade to 1.6.9 our most recent version.
Are you using any extensions?
What type of text formatting do you have set for that custom field?
Have you got a link to the article on your site?

I am a bit dumb, so please bear with me.
(a) I will talk to web guys about 1.6.9
(b) extensions: not sure. I’ll check. We are using lots of modules.
(c) text formatting: rich formatting. This is a skitch image

(d) There is a link on the home page and it has got a fair bit of traffic.

Ok it looks like you are using an extension to give you WYSIWYG capability. Can you find out what the name of this is please? Or just list everything you have here CP Home ›  Admin ›  Utilities ›  Extensions Manager

Custom Fields either have Text Input or WYSIWYG(Textarea for LG TinyMCE) format.

The field where you are experiencing this issue is using LG TinyMCE which is a third-party extension which we can’t support I’m afraid.

I can either move this post to the extension forum or you can try and contact Leevi directly for support
