    When I save a template in the control panel(update or update and finish) it doesn’t process the whole thing, erases the template file, and saves only a portion of the original template. This has occurred in multiple sites on multiple templates.

    The permissions of the folders containing the template files as well as the template files themselves are set to 777.

    Updating through an FTP client such as Transmit works fine. Its only within the EE control panel that this problem occurs.

    Anyone have any ideas?

    Thanks in advance for any help!

    FingerPaint, does the same thing happen if the template just has a single line in it? Perhaps “This is a test”?

    Sue,

    It updates fine if I strip out all of my embedded javascript.

    I also added the following to my .htaccess file as I saw you recommended in an early topic.

    <IfModule mod_security.c>
       SecFilterEngine Off

       SecFilterScanPOST Off
    </IfModule>

    Thanks for you help,
    Adam

    Sue,

    I think I might have just figured out my problem, still testing though.  I added all my javascript back in and noticed on script tag for the embedded javascript was missing type=“text/javascript”. Once I added that in it seems to be submitting ok.  Does this sound like a logical reason why I was encountering this problem?

    Thank again!

    Yes, that could certainly be. You’re template is not very large, by any chance?
