    Hello,

I installed Multi Site Manager. I have default site A. I created new site called SITEB. I have created one template in SITEB and try to view that it is showing empty page.

I used the following path to access the siteB.

    http://myserver/ExpressionEngine/SITEB/index.php/FirstTemplate/Test/

as per documentation I have copied the index.php and path.php inside the SITEB folder and I changed the path.php.

    $system_path = "../system/";
    $site_name = "SITEB"

SITE A is working fine. But I cannot able to access the siteB. I changed the URL to the root directory of your site to http://myserver/ExpressionEngine/SITEB/.

Please help me if I miss anything.

    Thanks and Regards,
    Nallasivan

    Nallasivan,

Is this on a local development or on a professional hosted environment?

What is in the template you are trying to view?

When you created your second site in the control panel did you duplicate or copy content from SITEA?

    Hi John,

I am creating in my local machine. In my SITEA, I already have a template group and it has around 10 templates. And it has the option checked “Make the index template in this group your site’s home page?”.

After Installed MSM, I have created SITEB. and I created one template group called TestSite. In that group I have edited the index and added more contents. When I try to view the template using “View Rendered Template” option in control panel, It is displaying SITEA’s index page.

What are all the steps I need to follow in this. I didnt copy any templates from SITEA.

Please reply as soon as possible.

    Thanks,
    Nallasivan

If I Create a folder called SITEB in the root folder and if I put index.php and updated path.php inside the folder and I changed the system preferences in the Admin section, the URL is coming like this when I view the template,

http://dbserver/ExpressionEngine/SITEB/index.php/TestSite/. But the page is showing blank.  Please help me.

    Nallasivan,

Can you give the Server Wizard a quick run to see if your local developer environment meets requirements. Thanks.

Nallasivan, you don’t need to place the MSM license number in the config anywhere.

Let’s get some more information on your MSM setup.

If you look at your site via FTP - where is the folder for the second site located?

    HI Sue,

I have fixed the issue, I just copied the index.php from the licensed version to SITEB, it worked. Before I used the index.php file from my free version. I dont know why? but it is working now 😊
