Just wanted to link you guys a major project I’ve been working on for a couple of months that launched today.
It’s built completly on CI with jquery enhancements, completly ignoring IE6, ofcourse =)

It’s a blogportal for computer gamers so it might fit you, incase it does feel free to make your own blog!

Feedback is appriciated as well! =)

Looks interesting, if a wee bit anemic…

A few things I found annoying:
    - ‘upcoming features’ really shouldn’t be in the main navigation.
    - clicking on search/ login shouldn’t hide the main nav

but the whole blog thing does look interesting… care to share more details?

    otherwise, good luck!

We had a huge problem with the space issue and fitting so many menus in, having a three-split menu on the same spot worked best from that perspective, and while you’re logging in you dont really need the other menus ;p
The upcoming stuff was pretty much things we didn’t have time to finish, and it looked empty without the buttons!

The blogportal is a ‘front’ to peoples blogs, like blogger or wordpress. You can register, pick a theme (or design your own), write blogentries, follow other peoples blogs and so on.
CI handles subdomains and routing really well, each subdomain goes to the same controller which loads various views and css-files depending on themes.
The final product clocked on 31000 lines not counting the CI system files =)
