We are working on relaunch of our site. Currently, to moderate comments we use defensio (http://defensio.com). Our settings may be sub-optimal, but it currently generates a lot of false positives (i.e., tags genuine comments as spam). In regard to comments, I suppose the ideal balances two priorities:
1. Block spam, yet
2. If possible, allow for comment writer to get instant gratification (this is another problem with our current defensio: if we don’t constantly maintain, good comments get held up which isn’t user-friendly)
Can I ask what folks are doing for comments? are you using built-in EE, CAPTHA or something better? Thanks! David
