I’m working on moving our site from Wordpress to ExpressionEngine 2.0 beta.

I was able to move over the blog posts manually since there weren’t that many, but I’m not sure what to do with the comments. I noticed that there’s no import feature yet, but also no way to manually add comments either. That makes sense, but now I don’t really know what to do.

I don’t want to lose all of my blog comments either. Is there another way to do it?

    nomi,

To import WP content you first convert to a Movable Type format and then use our import tools.

EE Docs : Movable Type Import Utility

EE Wiki :Migrate to EE : Wordpress

Thanks, John! There’s not an import tool for EE 2.0 yet though, right? So, I’d need to import into 1.6.8 and then upgrade it to 2.0?

    nomi,

No, not for 2.x yet. But yes, your solution is quite logical and should work for you.

    Are you happy with that?

Well, I’m kind of worried now about getting them inputted correctly because I already have the blog posts in and need to match the comments to the blog posts, but I’m sure I’ll sort it out.

    Thanks for the help!
