EE 1.6.6, no changes made in months. This installation powers an event calendar. For entries in March and later, the time portion of entry_date and/or expiration_date is changing after the entry is edited in the CP.

Eg: edit event, starting April 1 1:00 PM ending April 1 3:00 PM, save. Check entry, now shows 12:00 PM starting and 2:00 PM ending times. Edit again, shows the incorrect times on the Date tab.

My guess is that this has something to do with DST. How can I troubleshoot and correct this?

I, too, would suspect a DST issue. When you edit these entires, do they have “observer DST” checked? Also, consider upgrading to 1.6.8, it’s a recommended security update.

I’m on the Edit tab and don’t see an “observer DST” setting on any sub-tab.

Yup, DST is checked.

Uncheck that, then post an entry, and see if that fixes things for you.

The setting was previously unchecked. I checked it when I started working on this problem.

I just unchecked it and edited one of the problem entries. The time still changes on save (-1 hour): I input 2-6PM, it saves as 1-5PM. I just saved the entry as 3-7PM, which saves as 2-6PM. However, the time (as displayed by the RepEEt plugin) is incorrect, displaying as 2-2PM instead of 2-6PM.

That’s progress, but it looks like something is still buggy with EE.

Adam, any chance you’ve cracked this one? I have some users complaining…

Do you need to ‘Honor DST on each entry’?  That will basically adjust the time depending on whether the entry is marked as ‘DST’ relative to whether the user viewing the entry is DST.  Or just to test- turn it off.  Still run into the problem?

All four combinations of DST Y/N and Honor DST per entry Y/N have the same problem.
